Our infant and toddler program provides a warm, safe, and developmentally supportive environment for our youngest children. Caregivers are trained in trauma-informed practices and responsive caregiving — ensuring every infant and toddler feels secure, seen, and nurtured throughout the day.
Consistency is the foundation of safety for infants and toddlers. Our daily schedule is intentionally predictable — the same sequence of arrivals, meals, play, rest, and transitions every day — so children can anticipate what comes next and feel secure.
Our infant and toddler spaces are intentionally designed to reduce overwhelm and support sensory regulation — soft lighting, low noise levels, natural textures, and calm color palettes.
Infants and toddlers cannot self-regulate — they need a calm, attuned adult to co-regulate with them. Our caregivers are trained to read and respond to each child's cues, matching their energy and gently guiding them back to calm.
This includes narrating emotions, using gentle touch, offering consistent verbal reassurance, and responding promptly to distress — building the neural pathways for lifelong emotional regulation.
Every staff member working with infants and toddlers completes specialized training in trauma-informed care, infant mental health, and responsive caregiving.
Research consistently shows that a caregiver's emotional wellbeing directly shapes their infant's development. When caregivers are stressed, overwhelmed, or unsupported, it affects their ability to be present, responsive, and attuned — the very things infants need most.
Our programs actively support caregivers through coaching, community, and respite — because protecting the caregiver is one of the most powerful things we can do for the child.
